Barry Griffith Park: a longer escarpment bushwalk

Take on the McKnight Bridle Trail from Barry Griffith Park for a longer Grade 3 return walk on Toowoomba's edge.

Barry Griffith Park is the starting point for the McKnight Bridle Trail, a more substantial option for visitors prepared for a longer escarpment walk. The trail is a continuation option from the Picnic Point Bridle Trail, but it must be walked back to its starting entrance.

The Toowoomba Regional Council park page (opens in a new tab) classifies the McKnight Bridle Trail as Grade 3 and lists it as 2,533 metres, about 40 minutes each way. Keep dogs on leash and check conditions before heading out.
