Newtown Park offers a generous stop for garden time, play or a picnic on the western side of Toowoomba. Its feature areas bring together the Queensland State Rose Garden, family facilities and sporting spaces, so it can suit a slower morning or a break between city sights.
The Toowoomba Regional Council's Newtown Park guide (opens in a new tab) describes more than 2,000 roses across over 250 cultivars in the Queensland State Rose Garden, together with a playground, barbecue area, paths, croquet lawns and cricket pitches. Follow the park's paths at your own pace and allow extra time for the garden displays.
